Custom Pendants available!

I love making these Scrabble tile pendants. Recently I have been making some for my own personal (and ever growing) collection. These are sayings that have kept me going through my treatments and now I am happy to wear them with pride!! I get asked about them all the time!

If you have a custom request...let me know! I can do ANYTHING you like...see my shop for some more examples. Or drop me a line on my Facebook fan page. Would be great for showers, brides-to-be, parties or extra special gifts! These need sufficient drying time, so please allow at least one week for custom orders!

doe Studio Facebook fan page - up and running!

Recently I have started up a doe Studio Facebook fan page. It's a great way to get your "friends" to see what you are up to, let all of your fans know what's new in the shop and a fantastic marketing tool. I learned about setting up a fan page in the forums of Etsy, where one Etsian shared how she noticed increased traffic AND sales in her shop as a result of the fan page.
I am always on the look out for blog "followers" and now, I am also looking for Facebook fans!! Click here to become a fan! It's fun, it's free and you'll enjoy the perks of membership!
For all of you out there wondering HOW to set up a Facebook fan page, it's really easy. "To create a page for a celebrity, band or business, click here. " Now, you're there! Create your Fan Page, upload photos, update your status and invite your friends to join your fan Page. That will get the ball rolling! Hope this helps anyone looking to start a Facebook Fan took me a while to figure out how to do it (despite it being SO easy!!!).

Back in Action

I have been back in the saddle the past couple of days, creating, taking pictures, listing items and updating my Facebook fan page! Click HERE to visit my Facebook fan page, once you are a fan, you'll receive updates from my shop, news and direct links to newly listed items.
Today let's look at some of the new items I have listed in my shop, including Scrabble Tile Pendants. Actually, the pendants are all currently located in my fundraising section, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. Time is running out to support my efforts so click away folks! I am having lots of fun with these and have been dreaming up sayings that I like as well as using some purchased graphics and using my own photos!! The possibilities are endless. If you have a suggestion for a "saying" - please post a comment!!

Also, newly listed today a fantastic lariat scarf set - two scarves in one! Fun and unique and ready to ship! I bought this yarn from Wild Hare - a fellow Etsian!

GTD treatment update

A special thanks to everyone who has come by and read my story and supported my fundraising efforts.
My last treatment was on last a week ago Wednesday. I have been managing pretty well with only fatigue, loss of appetite and some thinning hair. After the last treatment, I noticed a red itchy welt on my arm just above the injection site. I checked in with my Primary nurse, and went down to have it looked at. The Dactinomycin (the chemo drug) had leaked out of my vein and burned my skin from the inside out. Crazy and scary at the same time. As a result of the leakage, I am scheduled to have a PICC line put in on Tuesday. A PICC line is a catheter that goes into a vein in your arm, with the tip resting in an artery close to your heart. This is a more effective way to deliver the chemo and can be used to collect blood samples as well (which I am still doing weekly). I am a bit scared about the PICC procedure but it's a small battle in the GTD war!
I am about 8 weeks into treatment and my nurse thinks that I may have up to 12 more weeks to go. Lets hope that the "magic juice" can do the trick and I can finish up sooner rather than later! We have been dealing with all of this since December and it's been a long 5 months. We are ready to move on and be done with it all. Check out my Molar Pregnancy post below for information on my fundraising efforts through my Etsy shop and also Relay for Life.
